GCDF

What is a GCDF?

A GCDF may serve as a career group facilitator, job search
trainer, career resource center coordinator, career coach,
career development case manager, intake interviewer,
occupational and labor market information resource person,
human resources career development specialist,
employment/placement specialist or workforce development
staff person. The CDF Credential, developed by the
National Career Development Association in affiliation with
the Center for Credentialing in Education, was designed for
career providers who are not professional counselors so
that standards, training specifications and credentialing
might be available to them. Details at www.ncda.org and

Am I eligible for this certification?

CDF’s must have a combination of education and work
experience to meet the certification requirements.

The GCDF e-curriculum allows for learning at home at your
convenience saving travel time. 2.5 days of face to face
training is required.

working with groups, working with supervisors, ethical
issues and more
